Clean Water Services


Clean Water Services is a public utility committed to protecting water resources in the Tualatin River Watershed near Hillsboro, Oregon. Nearly 450,000 customers enjoy clean water and healthy rivers and streams through innovative wastewater and storm water services, flood management projects, water quality and stream enhancement projects, fish habitat protection, and more. Clean Water Services cleans more than 72 million gallons of wastewater every day to among the highest standards in the nation before returning the water to the Tualatin River. TabWare Onsite is used to help manage maintenance operations at its three water treatment plants.

Sanitary District of Decatur

The Sanitary District of Decatur in Illinois is the regional wastewater treatment authority for central Macon County providing wastewater treatment services to the residents of the City of Decatur, Village of Forsyth, Village of Mt. Zion, and for industrial and commercial users in the Decatur metropolitan area.

The Sanitary District of Decatur was formed in 1917 and the original treatment facility was completed in 1924. Major expansions and facility updates were made in 1928, 1957, 1964 and 1976. The current treatment facilities, completed in 1990, provides preliminary and primary treatment followed by a two-stage activated sludge biological treatment process with effluent disinfection by chlorination prior to discharge to the Sangamon River. Sludges removed by the treatment process are stabilized by an anaerobic digestion process prior to ultimate disposal by land application on area farms.

More than 100,000 residents of the City of Decatur and the Villages of Forsyth and Mt. Zion are served. In excess of 24 significant industrial users and more than 1,000 other industrial and commercial customers.
