Greenville, SC – July 7, 2015 – AssetPoint, a leading provider of Computerized Maintenance Management Software / Enterprise Asset Management (CMMS / EAM) solutions, announced today that Haile Gold Mine Inc. (Haile) has selected TabWare CMMS / EAM for asset and maintenance management at their gold mine located in Lancaster County, South Carolina.
Haile needed to find a user friendly CMMS / EAM solution robust enough to effectively manage and monitor asset performance, increase production uptime and operating efficiencies and help meet regulatory standards. Haile selected TabWare based on its equipment monitoring capabilities which will allow the gold mine to track their stationary process equipment, as well as their mobile mining equipment. Haile also plans to integrate TabWare with their existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, so AssetPoint’s numerous, successful CMMS integrations was yet another reason TabWare was selected over other CMMS / EAM solutions.
“In our search for an equipment and asset management solution for our gold mine, ease of use was extremely important. We also needed a solution that could track and manage all of our stationary equipment and the equipment that is mobile in the mine. We plan to later integrate our ERP system, so AssetPoint’s extensive experience and success with integrations was another primary reason we selected TabWare. We look forward to a close partnership with AssetPoint,” said Haile Project Superintendent, Jim Longwith.
Discovered in 1827, the mine was one of the first working gold mines in the United States and has been operated on and off for nearly 200 years. The historic mine is now owned by Haile, a wholly owned subsidiary of Romarco Minerals Inc., and gold production is anticipated to begin in late 2016. Haile is committed to preserving and restoring the impacts made by previous mining operations. Haile is employing environmental policies and practices that go beyond regulatory requirements, and the South Carolina streams that run through the property will be restored to the best condition they have seen in nearly 200 years. Haile will set a new standard in mining and become the showcase for mining done properly throughout the entire mine life and centuries beyond. Implementing the Best-in-Class asset and maintenance management solution, TabWare, before production begins will help Haile maintain their commitment to the safety of employees and the environment while maximizing the mining potential of 2 million ounces of gold reserves,
